Reimbursement/Claims Specialist
The Reimbursement/Claims Specialist investigates patients insurance, pursues prior authorizations and/or works with providers to ensure claims are paid fully and accurately. The Reimbursement Specialist works in conjunction with the Case Manager and Appeal Specialist to ensure that the patients insurance covers the treatments including working to understand the in-network providers, co pays and any restrictions that may be involved. The Reimbursement/Claims Specialist also follows up on any prior authorizations requirements and any requests from the insurance company.

Requirements: 2 years experience in Healthcare or a related field. Proficiency in healthcare insurance reimbursement including benefit investigations & claims. Prior experience processing or adjudicating claims is desired along with strong writing skills. Ability to multi task, identify reimbursement trends, and meet customer commitments are key along with the desire to work in a team environment and successfully work with others to achieve a common goal. Effective problem solving skills, attention to detail and strong verbal skills are also important.
